The Organisation
Air Vanuatu is the National carrier of the Republic of Vanuatu and plays a pivotal role in supporting national development, particularly tourism. It has played a major role in establishing Vanuatu as a tourist and investment destination in the last two decades, particularly in it's closest markets, Australia and New Zealand, and will continue to do so in the future.
The Position
Line Maintenance Manager is responsible to oversee and manage all aspects of line maintenance operations within our 145 Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility, operating under the rules and regulations set by CAAV Civil Aviation Authority Vanuatu. CAAV has adopted the rules of the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAANZ). The Line Maintenance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, safety, efficiency, and excellence in our aircraft maintenance services.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License or equivalent, Preferably with all relevant endorsements for aircraft types operated by the MRO but not essential to have all. Boeing 737, ATR72 -600 and DHC-6.
► 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a proven track record in leadership and management roles.
► Deep understanding of CAAV regulations, guidelines, and procedures governing line maintenance activities.
► Strong technical knowledge of various aircraft systems, components, and avionics.
► Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
► Leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and manage a diverse team.
► Proficiency in using aviation maintenance software and tools for documentation and scheduling.
