The Grand Hotel & Casino is located in the town center of Port Vila, and iconic establishment situated harbor-side.

Comprising of 74 rooms ranging from harbor rooms to a Penthouse, every room has a view of the harbor.

In addition to first class accommodation the Grand offers the very best gaming facilities, wonderful food and beverage offerings via its restaurant and bars and multi-faceted function spaces.

The Position

The Hotel is seeking to employ an energetic and self-motivated individual to run its entire Hotel Operations. .


As the business leader for the Hotel, the Hotel General Manager's responsibility will encompass:

  • Rooms Division [Front Office | Housekeeping | Maintenance]

  • Food & Beverage

  • Sales & Marketing [Meetings and Events]


The ideal candidate would have experience within the industry, attention to detail with a willingness to roll up one’s sleeves, is well organized, maintains good records and processes and adheres to the highest

quality of standards.

Essential Selection Criteria

► 5 years' experience in a similar role

► Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification and passion for quality service and food

► Prepared to work weekends, days, evening, and public holidays

► Demonstrated capacity in leading and managing a team and its individual members

► Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail with high proficiency in Microsoft applications

► Ability to understand and analyse complex information and strategy in a diverse business environment

► Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

► Ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders

► Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in preparing reports and presentations

Sound time management skills and ability to work autonomously to deliver results within agreed upon reporting timeframes
