The Position
The Executive General Manager Relationship Banking (EGMRB) will be responsible to provide strategic leadership and oversight of NBV’s Relationship Banking division, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer experiences, growth in market share, and achievement of financial performance targets. The role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that strengthen client relationships, drive business development across corporate, SME, and retail segments, and align with NBV’s vision and regulatory requirements. The Executive General Manager will lead teams to deliver innovative banking solutions, maintain high standards of risk management, and foster partnerships that enhance NBV’s competitive position in the financial services sector
Essential Selection Criteria
► Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Degree in Business related field
► 5 years’ experience in working in similar senior position.
► 5 years’ experience in dealing with customer issues.
► Experience and ability to recognize business problems, make sound decisions, and contemplate growth opportunities. .
► Have effective communication as a key element in successful relationships
► Sound knowledge of Vanuatu businesses and opportunities that exist therein
► Proficiency in computer skills is desirable.
► Ability to build client support for a business and its offerings and increase brand loyalty.
► Open communication, kindness, respect, openness, and honesty.
► Good working analytical and problem-solving skills
► Good working knowledge bank policy and operations manual
► Ability to guide junior BRMs in relationship-building techniques and professional growth.
► Ability to guide junior BRMs in relationship-building techniques and professional growth.
► Basic proficiency in managing departmental budgets and assigning the right BRMs to the most critical business partners.
► Ability to set KPIs for the BRM team and using tools like Workday or BambooHR to track departmental success.
► Ability to use the management dashboard views in Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics to monitor team-wide pipeline and engagement health.
► Establishing the "rules of engagement" for how BRMs interact with business partners to ensure consistency and compliance.
