Our work includes:
On-site data collection – measuring, photographing, and documenting buildings, land, and improvements.
Building measurements – using smart tablets, laser devices, and drones to create accurate site maps, floor plans, and building details.
Technology-driven solutions – integrating drone mapping, GIS, and valuation software to produce efficient and reliable reports.
Property breakdowns – documenting everything from ancillary improvements (fences, gates, driveways, landscaping) to interior spaces (offices, storage, verandas, balconies).
The Position
Building Surveyor / Property Inspector with experience in drone mapping, GIS applications, laser measurement, and CAD drafting for real estate and valuation projects
Professional Building Surveyor / Property Inspector specializing in site data collection, laser measurement, CAD drafting, and 3D modelling. Skilled in drone mapping, photogrammetry, and GIS applications to capture and visualize property data. Experience across residential, commercial, and industrial projects within the real estate and PropTech industries. Essential Selection Criteria
► Appropriate tertiary qualifications in design, architecture, engineering, property valuation or other relevant discipline, is preferred.
► Proficiency in accurately measuring and drawing buildings using laser measuring devices, tablets, and digital recording tools.
► Strong understanding of traditional measurement methods (tape measures, hand-drawn sketches) to ensure accuracy in all conditions.
► Solid knowledge of construction methods, building techniques, materials, components, and elemental systems.
► Ability to interpret building structures and apply technical knowledge to practical site conditions.
► Advanced skills in 3D modelling and drafting software such as SketchUp and CAD programs.
► Capacity to produce precise drawings, plans, and visualizations to professional standards.
► Hands-on experience operating drones for property and site inspections.
► Familiarity with supporting technologies such as photogrammetry and site-mapping software for accurate data capture.
► Working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and their practical application in property and valuation projects.
► Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
► Ability to work in a team and manage a busy travel schedule.
► Valid driver’s license (essential).
► Good communication skills and attention to detail.
