The Organisation
The Ifira Ports Development Services Limited (IPDS) is one of the three of the main ports in Vanuatu. The IPDS Ltd port is the main port for all international freight and containers cargo arriving in the capital while the Government international wharf is dedicated for all cruise vessels, gas and petrol tankers.
IPDS has been granted the exclusive right by the Government to handle Stevedoring operations at the Lapetasi Wharf.
The Position
The Senior Accountant's primary aims and objectives of the is to provide close monitoring and supervision of the finance team ensuring the daily financial operations are carried out according to IPDS Financial Policy and Procedure Manual.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Degree in Accounting/Commerce
► Minimum five (5) years’ work-related experience with supervisor experience
► Good Planning, organisational, analytical and decision-making skills
► Good oral and verbal communication skills
► Must undergo medical examination
► Confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people
► Computer literate - financial software systems
