The Australian High Commission in Port Vila manages the Australian Government’s presence in Vanuatu. We promote Australia’s interests, facilitate international trade and investment, deliver development assistance, respond to crises and provide services to Australian citizens. Under general direction, Program Managers support the implementation of Australia’s development assistance in Vanuatu. This includes managing program implementation, supporting high-level strategic, policy and program advice and representation at a range of external meetings and events. Program Managers also support financial management and reporting (financial, fraud, performance and quality).
Essential Selection Criteria
► Tertiary qualifications, as well as technical expertise and/or experience in public policy, development or related sectors
► Strong program administration skills
► Strong communication skills, including writing skills and quality reporting
► Strong representation skills
► Ability to provide strong logistical support across all program areas
► Able to work well in a team
► An operational knowledge of aid management
► An operational knowledge of development policy
► Knowledge of Vanuatu and government systems and language.
