The Organisation
The Wilkins Family Foundation (WFF) has been operating in Vanuatu for seven years, evolving from a small not-for-profit into an established and influential non-governmental organisation (NGO). The foundation runs a scholarship program that supports marginalised and disadvantaged girls in rural areas of Vanuatu, helping them access a complete education — from high school through to higher learning opportunities, including university degrees, vocational training, or technical apprenticeships — and ultimately transition into meaningful employment.
What sets the foundation apart is its long-term commitment to each student, offering continuous support from school through to young adulthood. This support includes financial assistance, mentoring, leadership development, and career coaching, all aimed at helping each girl realise her full potential.
Looking ahead, the foundation has set a goal to expand its reach across all of Vanuatu, with a target of increasing the number of scholarships to at least 60 by 2027.
