The Organisation
The Vanuatu Foreign Investment Promotion Agency is the Government's only investment promotion arm. Established in 1998 to attract foreign direct investment into Vanuatu, VFIPA plays a pivotal role to ensuring FDI growth is not only maintained but facilitated in a way that encourages growth and expansion within the country that will in turn create employment.
The Position
A. Lead and manage the Authority within the parameters set by the VIPA Act and the VIPA Board.
B. Foster a high performance corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, encourages individual integrity/accountability and social responsibility.
C. Develop key management working documents for the Authority including but not limited to Corporate Plans, Business Plans and Annual Work Plans of which should be revised and updated according to appropriate timeframes.
D. Develop and recommend to the Board strategic plans, including measurable goals and objectives that ensures excellent service delivery to foreign investors, clients and the Vanuatu Government.
E. Assist in the development of policy papers through advice specific to the Authority’s key functions of promoting and facilitating inward FDI for Vanuatu.
F. Develop strong working relations with key government and private sector organizations as well as international organizations to lobby for key FDI issues and promotion and facilitation matters.
G. Develop strong working relationship with key government and private sector organizations for information sharing and networking on all matters relating to FDI and promotion/facilitation roles.

Essential Selection Criteria
► At least 5 years’ experience in investment promotion related work with preferable background in economics or management or similar fields.
► At least 3 years in an executive role (CEO, Managing Director, Manager, Head of Department, or similar)
► Degree in Economics and Management or similar fields or equivalent from recognized university
► Comprehensive knowledge about trade and investment sector with knowhow in other economic sectors.
► Vanuatu Citizen
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Recognition for high professional value and integrity
► A good track record of past performance in leadership role.
► No affiliation with any political parties.
