The Organisation

The Vanuatu Education Support Program (VESP) implements the prestigious Australia Awards Vanuatu (AAV) on behalf of the Australian Government. AAV manages scholarships for studies in Australia and Fiji.


The Position

The AAV Manager will be responsible for managing all the Australia Award Vanuatu phases, including promotion, application, assessment, interview, selection, placement, and mobilization.

The AAV Manager will also liaise with DFAT and universities in Australia and Fiji.

The AAV Manager reports to the VESP Team Leader and works closely with the AAV Advisor and supervises the Alumni Officer.


Essential Selection Criteria

► A tertiary qualification in relevant field such as; administration, project management, human resource development – relevant experience may be accepted in lieu

► Effective communication skills in Bislama and English (and French if possible), including the ability to contribute to AAV planning and reporting requirements


Desirable Selection Criteria

► Experience in a similar management role with Australia Awards is desirable

► An effective network of contacts from the Government and non-Government sector in Vanuatu

► Exposure to an overseas education experience

► Proficient computer skills including MS office and some experience with data systems
