The Organisation
The Department of Local Authority (DLA) and UNDP Governance for Resilience Project in Fiji, have signed a partnership agreement in August, 2022. The partnership focuses on strengthening DLA’s capacity, processes and mechanisms for risk informed planning, financing, and implementation. As part of this support, the DLA is seeking to recruit a Senior Project Implementation and Monitoring Officer, to be based in DLA office to support the activities of this partnership.
The Position
This position aims to enhance DLA's capacity to implement and monitor risk-informed community development projects, primarily managing and coordinating community grants in planning, financing, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Bachelor’s Degree in economics, law, management or relevant social science field.
► Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic planning, project planning, policy formulation, review, and analysis.
► Experience in project management, rural development, and rural planning.
► Understanding of Area Council and Provincial Council structures
► Understanding of organization goals, and computer literacy in MS Office
► Demonstrated understanding and exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills.
► Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
► Demonstrated strategic thinking, sound leadership, and a service-oriented approach.
► Demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, good conduct, respect for community values, good moral values, medical fitness, clean police record, and team player qualities.
