The Organisation
The mission of the Pacific Aviation Safety Office (PASO) is to establish a collaborative and regionally based aviation safety and security oversight programme for the benefit of stakeholders and the region. In pursuing this mission, PASO has committed itself “to provide for continuous improvement in the quality of aviation safety and security oversight services to comply with international standards, required under the PICASST and ICAO Conventions’’
The Position
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will primarily be responsible for daily implementation of monitoring and evaluation of projects. The role includes developing, updating, and coordinating monitoring and evaluation activities and events within PASO. He or she will support and work closely with the Senior Programme Manager and the Head of Donor Programs. This role has no direct reports.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar or related field
► Relevant tertiary qualification from a recognized institution, or equivalent relevant operational qualification
► Demonstrated experience in data processing and data analysis of donor projects
► Strong experience in conducting evaluation cycle, from design and formulation to implementation, analysis and presentation of results and recommendations
► Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, leadership, diplomacy and advocacy
► Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills in English, with demonstrable high level reporting skills
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Familiarity with project requirements of donor projects will be an advantage ►Experience in the aviation sector, preferably in regulatory oversight is desired but not essential
