The Organisation

Aligned with the EWB Australia’s vision, the Vanuatu program seeks to ensure that Technology benefits all Ni-Vanuatu people, with a focus on marginal groups including women and people with disabilities in both rural and peri-urban communities. It has immediate plans to grow one of the two main arms that the organisation has emphasized in its new 2030 Strategy and structure - ‘EWB Engineering’, aiming to develop appropriate technologies and their enabling environments to sustain their positive impact for communities.

The Position

EWB is recruiting a Partnership Manager to support its operations and programs. The role will support engineering projects and engage with a wide range of projects. To work with EWB Vanuatu’s Country Manager to: • engage with existing and new partners, establish a high quality programs in Vanuatu • provide appropriate levels of technical support to the existing and future technology development projects • research more opportunities and gaps to build program initiatives to enable local engineering workforce, in particular women, to better contribute to sustainable, equitable, and appropriate solutions development. Role is part time with a view to becoming full-time.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Post-graduate qualification or bachelor’s degree in engineering, WASH or another technical-related field

► Experience with stakeholder engagement and/or partnership management across government, NGOs and private business

► Be proficient in English and Bislama (written and verbal)

► Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills: being pro-active, able to give and receive feedback, team-worker

► Skill and knowledge in data collection, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis and report writing

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Program and team management experience in related technical fields (water, sanitation, energy, product development, mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, mechatronics, agriculture, civil)

► Experience in a related field: systems, monitoring and evaluation, research/data analysis

► Experience in facilitation and coordination of events, workshops, trainings etc., with local organisations

► Computer literacy with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, etc.) and online document management software (Box.net, Salesforce)
