The Organisation
The Vanuatu Australia Policing and Justice Program (VAPJP) is a collaborative initiative between the Governments of Vanuatu and Australia, aimed at strengthening law enforcement and justice institutions to improve safety, security, and access to justice.
The Position
The Finance and Administration Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and execution of finance and administration functions that support the effective delivery of VAPJP activities, primarily focused on support to EOPO 1 (Policing).
This role includes oversight of financial procedures, support to planning, budgeting and reporting processes, coordination of procurement and logistics, and provision of general administrative support to the program. The role will ensure that all duties performed are compliant with VAPJP policies and procedures as approved by Program Management.
The role will work closely with the Operations and Finance teams and liaise regularly with VPF Finance and Administration Points of Contact (POC).
Essential Selection Criteria
► Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
► At least 3 years of experience in finance and administration roles, preferably in development programs or international NGOs.
► Familiarity with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
► Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
► Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines.
► Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
► Understanding of procurement and logistics management.
► Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and ability to work independently.
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Experience working in donor-funded programs, particularly DFAT-funded initiatives.
► Knowledge of Vanuatu’s financial and procurement environment.
► Drivers license for general motor vehicle
