This is an exciting opportunity to join the Australian High Commission in Vanuatu and contribute to advancing the Australia-Vanuatu partnership.

● Based in Port Vila
● Salary Vt 3,339,548 per annum

The Position
The Executive Assistant to the High Commissioner will play an important role in managing the day-to-day functions of the office and works as part of a dynamic and committed High Commission team. We are looking for individuals who are proactive and have the proven ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion and professionalism.
Under general direction, the Executive Assistant will provide diary management, administrative services and support the High Commissioner and Executive. The role will be responsible for financial management and logistics support for travel and events. Where required, the Executive Assistant will provide management support of the effective operations at the official residence.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Demonstrated experience in administrative and management support and/or personal assistant roles to senior managers in the private and/or public sector.
► Sound organisational skills, and an ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
► Sound written and oral communication skills and Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
► Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
► High level of initiative and flexibility, and a strong capacity to exercise discretion and judgement.
Desirable Selection Criteria
► A valid driver’s license would be highly regarded.
