The Organisation

The Vanuatu Rural Development Bank (VRDB) established in 2008 as the Vanuatu Agriculture Bank focuses in strengthening and providing financial assistance to rural farmers across the country in a diversifying industry sector, including Fishing, Agriculture, Tourism, Livestock and Business. In early 2021, it was renamed as the Vanuatu Rural Development Bank, emerging and introducing new loan products for individual and businesses to grow in business. While mobilizing capital for priority sectors in Agriculture and SME’s services in fostering sustainable development.

VRDB's Mission is to provide financial products and services which are responsive to the needs of the people and create and develop new entrepreneurs in collaboration with other shareholders.

The Position

The Credit Manager will be responsible to lead our credit operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the credit granting process, managing credit risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining the integrity of our loan portfolio. They will be responsible to protect a company's assets and maximize cash flow by managing credit risk.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferrable) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

► Professional certification in Credit Management or Risk Management is an advantage.

► 5–10 years of experience in banking, credit management, lending, or financial risk assessment.

► Strong knowledge of credit laws, banking regulations, and risk assessment techniques.

► Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

► Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Drivers License

► Specific Software Experience
