The Organisation
The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) is the policy and technical agency responsible for ICT/Telecom sector development, and the management and administration of the Government Broadband Network (GBN). OGCIO is located within the Ministry of the Prime Minister.
The Position
The Part-time ICT Personals will undertake various tasks with primary focus on providing assistance and support, and in particular:
a. Installation of recommended software tools that will enhance our efforts to stop adversaries faster with a broader perspective and better context to hunt, detect, investigate, and respond to threats;
b. Scanning of all end points at each Government Ministries and Departments for traces of malware and virus;
c. Connecting back all end points to the GBN; and,
d. Educational awareness to all users on the enforcement of the GBN’s security policies.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Completed Year 12 and/or Year 13 with an interest in ICTs or Certificate IV in Computing or Information Technology or Degree in Computing Science or Information Technology in 2022
► Must be between the ages of 17 and 21 years;
► Be willing to work during normal working hours and after hours should the need arise
► Vanuatu Citizen
► Must be able to start immediately
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Completed Year 12 and/or Year 13 with an interest in ICTs or Certificate IV in Computing or Information Technology or Degree in Computing Science or Information Technology in 2022
► Must be between the ages of 17 and 21 years;
► Must be able to start immediately
► Some experiences in ICT will be helpful
