The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the effective coordination of the Human Resources function of Save the Children’s support services department in Vanuatu. They will support the Support Services Director to assist in managing the human sources of Save the Children to optimize the implementation of programs in Vanuatu and ensuring employee satisfaction.


Essential Selection Criteria

► Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, or equivalent and over 5 years’ experience working in mid-level HR or administration roles

► Highly developed verbal and written communication skills: Good listener and able to communicate needs and expectations of both organisation and employees

► Strong interpersonal skills: With constant interaction with staff, must be able to maintain a positive demeanor through all situations, possess good rapport and relationships building abilities

► Solid background in payroll practices and full understanding of HR functions and best practices

► Highly proficient in the use of computerized accounts packages, Excel, Power-Point and Word.

► Previous experience working in a decentralized organisation

► Exceptional customer services focus (internal and external stakeholders)

► Fantastic time management and organization skills with meticulous attention to detail

► Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
