Save the Children is an international organization working to uphold children’s rights and protection in different regions of the world, including the Pacific. In Vanuatu, Save the Children has been working with communities and the government since 1984 across a range of thematic areas including education, health, child protection, disaster preparedness, risk reduction, response, recovery, and climate change adaptation.
The Field Manager Ambae is responsible for leading program and operations teams to implement Save the Children’s programs in Panama Province. The Field Manager is responsible for ensuring programs, support services, and finance functions work collaboratively to deliver high quality programs that meet Save the Children’s quality standards. The Field Manager is also responsible for program management functions for the BRAVE Resilience Program, to be implemented in Ambae.
Essential Selection Criteria
► University degree is required
► Minimum 5 years experience in relevant position
► Strong communication skills
► Proven experience in using Microsoft programs to summarize and communicate results (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
► Excellent report writing skills
► Strong management skills
► Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with a wide range of people
► Experience in influencing others
► Broad working experience in Vanuatu
► Understanding of resilience, disaster risk reduction, or climate change adaptation programming in Vanuatu
► Fluency in Bislama and English
► Must be able to travel domestically
