The Position

MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning) Country Coordinators are responsible for supporting the design and implementation of Pacific Australia Skills’ MEL Plan and System in their country of assignment. The roles will focus on tailoring the Pacific Australia Skills’ overarching program logic and MEL Plan to the relevant country context. The MEL Country Coordinators will also conduct data collection and write reports for their country. The MEL Country Coordinator will report to the relevant Partnership Manager. They will receive significant guidance and support from the regional MEL team (based in Suva, Fiji) to ensure they have relevant tools and skills to fulfil their roles.


Essential Selection Criteria

► Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in research, MEL, social sciences, international development, or related field.

► Minimum 5 years of experience in MEL, including developing program logics and MEL Plans.

► Experience implementing data collection and analysis.

► Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and facilitate learning.

► Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor others.

► Experience working in cross-cultural settings with a strong understanding of participatory approaches.

► Experience working with international development projects, NGOs, or donor-funded initiatives is an advantage.

► Understanding of and commitment to Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), Child Protection, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), prevention of human trafficking, environmental protection, anti-corruption and other DFAT safeguarding policies.
