The Position
The Finance Officer works under general direction as part of the Australian High Commission’s corporate team to support the delivery of high quality and efficient finance and administration enabling services within the High Commission. You will have responsibilities for supporting financial management and reporting (budget, performance and quality) and prepare high-quality budget monitoring, analysis and support the management of supplier contracts. The role requires accountability for coordination and prioritisation and completion of tasks under key responsibilities.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Relevant tertiary qualifications or professional experience in finance and related administrative roles.
► Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
► Demonstrated judgment, problem solving and skills in prioritising work including the ability to work proactively in a small multi-disciplined office.
► Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn DFAT-specific software programs
► Strong communication and interpersonal skills in written and spoken English and Bislama, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
