The Organisation
The Vanuatu Skills Partnership (TVET) is a partnership between the Governments of Vanuatu and Australia to support provincial economic growth through targeted and inclusive skills development services within a national quality system. The Partnership’s Head Office is located in Port Vila and Skills Centres have been established under the Ministry of Education and Training in SANMA, MALAMPA, TORBA and TAFEA provinces.
The Position
Position to be based at the Vanuatu Skills Partnership main office in Port Vila or the SANMA Skills Centre
This exciting role will support the work of the Skills Centres in partnership with the Tertiary Education Directorate (TED) of the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), the Vanuatu Qualifications Authority (VQA), and training providers to improve access to quality-assured and demand-driven skills training throughout Vanuatu.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Relevant qualification in education/training or similar field.
► Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the national Post School Education and Training (PSET) sector in Vanuatu.
► Proven experience working effectively with MoET, VQA, training providers and other relevant government and non-government organisations.
► Experience designing and delivering quality-assured and demand-driven skills training in provincial locations, preferably with large and small training providers.
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Strong communication, negotiation, cross-cultural and inter-personal skills, with an ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a positive and engaging manner.
► Capacity to establish and support networks within and across different productive sectors and the national PSET sector.
► Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
