We’ve been working in Vanuatu for more than 25 years supporting the community in areas of health, community education and training, community development, water supply resource development, pre-school education and direct promotion of children’s rights.


The Position

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer will play an important role in improving information management and data quality, and in strengthening knowledge sharing and learning across Save the Children Organisation and programs.


As a member of the Program Development and Quality (PDQ) team, the MEAL Officer will report to the MEAL Manager to support the delivery of MEAL systems across development and humanitarian programs in line with Save the Children’s and donor policies and practices.


Essential Selection Criteria

► Strong experience in MEAL from designing & formulation to implementation, analysis, presentation and recommendations.

► Experience in developing and using relevant monitoring and evaluation tools, with excellent attention to detail

► Strong communication skills, and proven experience in using Microsoft programmes to summarise and communicate results (including Word, Excel and Powerpoint)

► Must be result focused and be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines

► Is highly developed relationship building, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

► Ability to work with children
