The Organisation
Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) is implementing various initiatives funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), with support from Save the Children as the Grant Agent, from 2020-2023.
The Position
The GPE Activity Coordinator: Inclusive Education is responsible to lead the implementation of all Inclusive Education activities within the GPE program, which include:
Recruitment of six new Provincial Inclusive Education Coordinators who will conduct outreach as part of provincial school improvement teams
Construction of a new Inclusive Education Resource Centre, staffed by two new specialist teacher trainers at VITE
Development of training and screening materials
Updating the Inclusive Education Policy
Improving data collection and analysis for children with disabilities
The GPE Activity Coordinator: Inclusive Education will report into the GPE Program Manager, with close coordination with the Inclusive Education Unit.
The initial contract will be for 12 months.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Graduate or post-graduate degree in education with a speciality in inclusive education
► 5 years experience in a Government or NGO environment
► Strong project management skills (planning, implementing, reviewing and reporting)
► Financial management skills
► Experience working with children with disabilities or inclusive education
► Familiarity with Government of Vanuatu or NGO systems, policies and guidelines, ideally in the education sector
► Fluency in Bislama and English
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Knowledge of French is desirable
