The Organisation

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency is part of the global humanitarian organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that demonstrates God’s love and compassion. ADRA works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action. ADRA has been working in Vanuatu since 2008, and has offices in Port Vila and Luganville.

The Position

The Finance Manager’s role includes providing support to the planning, program and logistic teams in the development of proposal budgets, coordinating and managing funding where there’s multiple donors, preparing financial reports and arranging audits and ensuring that financial policies and procedures are applied across the ADRA Vanuatu activities as relevant.

Essential Selection Criteria

► A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business

► Prior work experience

► The ability to work well under pressure and to meet stringent deadlines

► The ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

► This position requires a police clearance should the applicant be successful

Desirable Selection Criteria

► A strong work ethic, with the ability to work autonomously, employ initiative and engage others

► Proficiency in English. Christian faith commitment

► Commitment to the ethos, values and mission of ADRA Vanuatu

► Computer fluency (both MS Office and Accounting Software systems)
