Finance & Administration Manager

IsraAID is a non-profit, non-governmental and apolitical humanitarian aid agency dedicated to supporting populations in crisis around the world, Founded in 2001. As of 2017, the organization has responded to crises in 42 countries and has operations span across 17 countries and a wide number of different sectors of expertise from both the humanitarian aid and international development arenas.
IsraAID VANUATU has operated in Vanuatu since 2015 when the organization responded to Tropical Cyclone Pam. Since its inception, IsraAID Vanuatu has been working in various emergency responses, recovery and long-term development projects in the area of Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) and Protection. With its vast technical and community-based programming experience, IsraAID Vanuatu has secured access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities on three islands. IsraAID has been focusing also on the capacitation of service providers in the area of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support.
IsraAID is looking for an Administration and Finance Manager for the organization’s Country office based in Port Vila Vanuatu to manage all the country operations related to Financial, Administration & Legal management. This position is an exciting opportunity to get hands-on experience in a non-profit humanitarian organisation.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Higher education (minimum Diploma) in finance, accounting or other relevant field plus at least 3 years’ professional experience in working with CBOs, LNGOs or INGOs in finance role
► Knowledge of Vanuatu finance regulations and Vanuatu Labour Law
► Good organizational, and time management skills and ability to work in a pressured work environment with frequent critical deadlines
► Strong interpersonal skills, flexible and assertive, solution based
► Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude

► Effective working relations in support of work conducted by the team
► Responds positively to critical feedback and differing points of view
► Fluent written and spoken English
► Proficiency in Bislama
