The Organisation
The Interchange Group is a Vanuatu-based consortium committed to a better future for Melanesia by providing nation-building telecommunications technologies and infrastructure to communities throughout the entire region.
In addition to servicing the existing local telecommunications market across Melanesia, Interchange plans to stimulate international wholesale bandwidth capacity demand by encouraging foreign investment in Vanuatu’s ICT sector. Interchanges’ aim is to position Vanuatu as the jurisdiction of choice for international data centre and data processing firms, and for international call centre operators.
The Position
Successfully lead, manage and develop Interchange Limited to plan, implement and operate all aspects of an international submarine cable network for the Republic of Vanuatu, to meet specific business objectives of the business as will be determined by the Directors from time to time.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Extensive leadership and management experience, including management roles on large telecommunications projects, preferably submarine network projects
► Post-graduate qualifications in business, management, ICT, or other relevant equivalent professional qualifications
► Strong demonstrated experience and background in the telecommunications sector
► Strong financial management experience in Company finances and reporting
► Operational experience in the telecom networks business environments
► Leadership qualities that enable ICN to succeed in the competitive environment
► The ability to effectively lead and manage a diverse workforce and experience working with and across other cultures
► Demonstrated experience engaging with the community and stakeholders to promote organizational interests
► Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
