The Organisation
The Vanuatu Cricket Association began upon affiliation with the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1995 and with the the commencement of the Community Cricket Development Program in the year 2000 has been the key component in the growth of cricket in Vanuatu. The program which started with 400 participants in the year 2000, is now rolled out to numerous schools and communities throughout Efate, Santo, Malekula and Tanna encouraging many juniors to take up the game.
Vanuatu Cricket also maintains a strong local club competitions structure at both junior and senior levels which feeds into our high performance streams.
The Position
The purpose of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position is to contribute to and continue Vanuatu Cricket Association’s growth and development through: enhancing the development of VCA both nationally and internationally across the full spectrum of VCA functions and responsibilities; management of the daily administration, operations and programs of VCA in conjunction with the development budget of ICC Scorecard Funding; infrastructure and asset management; and expanding sponsorship and improve stakeholder partnerships; etc.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Minimum 5 years’ previous CEO or equivalent experience.
► Minimum 5 years financial management experience.
► Knowledge of / experience in the management, training and support of a management team.
► Experience in development of cricket in an ICC Associate Country preferred.
► Developing and improving systems and processes.
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Degree in general and / or Sports Administration or Management is a plus
► Sensitive to Vanuatu’s environment being physical and cultural and have a strong and genuine interest in developing sports in Vanuatu.
► Infrastructure and asset management experience.
► Drivers Licence plus speak, read and write fluent English.
