The Organisation

The mission of the Pacific Aviation Safety Office (PASO) is to establish a collaborative and regionally based aviation safety and security oversight programme for the benefit of stakeholders and the region. In pursuing this mission, PASO has committed itself “to provide for continuous improvement in the quality of aviation safety and security oversight services to comply with international standards, required under the PICASST and ICAO Conventions’’

The Position

The Administration Officer ensures that the office is well administered, and all matters related to the Office are in good order. The position plays a vital role in ensuring PAOS’s records with foreign affairs, visas, insurance matters, fixed asset register, personal files, and building maintenance are always up to date.

Reporting to the Head of HR and Administration the role also provides direct human resources support as well as being the front of PASO for all domestic enquires.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SharePoint

► Experience in using databases and/or spreadsheets

► Experience in a customer focused, commercial environment

► Strong attention to detail

► A proven record to produce high quality, fit-for purpose reporting for senior managers

► An approach to dealing with people that results in cooperative internal and external working relationships

► A high level of motivation, enthusiasm, and initiative

► A proven ability to manage confidential information

► An ability to work effectively in a small team environment to contribute and enhance team achievements

► Experience providing analytical and administrative support to a senior manager is essential
