The Organisation

The Position

The Shared Services Team Leader supports and enables positive and effective collaboration of the Disaster Ready consortium made up of six agencies implementing a range of disaster risk reduction and humanitarian response programs across Vanuatu funded under the Australian Humanitarian Partnership (AHP). The Shared Services Team Leader leads the Shared Services Team including a MEL and communications specialist, and will drive the overall development and implementation of the shared services work plan including provision of high quality technical support to AHP partners in disability inclusion, gender equality and child protection.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Bachelor’s degree in community or international development or equivalent, and / or 5-7 years relevant work experience in senior program management / strategic management / partner management roles

► Experience living and working in the Pacific, ideally in Vanuatu with Bislama fluency, have a willingness to travel to provincial locations within Vanuatu

► Excellent partnership management and representation skills and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

► Extensive knowledge in the fields of financial management, procurement management, and monitoring and evaluation

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bislama (French also highly desirable) and fully conversant with Microsoft Office, with strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

► Ability to produce timely and high-quality written work and meet tight deadlines in high pressure environment

► Possess the ability to prepare and have demonstrable experience in the implementation of projects/programmes

► Drivers licence
