The Position

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist is a crucial member of the Disaster Ready Shared Services team responsible for providing high-quality MEL technical support to the Disaster Ready consortia under the Australian Humanitarian Partnership (AHP). The Disaster Ready consortia is made up of six humanitarian partners delivering disaster risk reduction and emergency response programming across Vanuatu. The MEL specialist will be wholly dedicated to supporting the consortia establish and implement centralised MEL systems that will enable partners to measure and communicate the collective impact of AHP investments in Vanuatu. This is an exciting role for an experienced MEL specialist with strong collaboration, training and partner engagement skills.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Relevant tertiary qualification/s in relevant disciplines

► Demonstrated experience evaluating programs in the Pacific, ideally in Vanuatu with Bislama fluency

► Project management skills and an ability to balance multiple projects and stakeholders at one time

► Statistical analysis skills, including regression analysis

Desirable Selection Criteria

► An ability to work with diverse stakeholders with differing levels of education and experience as well as familiarity with the evaluation processes and expectations of major Australian and international donors

► Experience of skill capacity building relevant to evaluation

► Professional fluency in French

► Drivers Licence
