The Organisation

The Position

The Cash Officer will support Save the Children’s Tropical Cyclone (TC) Harold and COVID-19 cash and voucher response in Vanuatu. The Cash Officer will work within a small team to build community, government and other key stakeholders understanding of cash transfer programming. The Cash Officer will support the design, implementation and monitoring of Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) responses. The position will represent Save the Children in all local meetings. The Cash Officer will report directly to the Cash Project Manager and work collaboratively with the Regional Cash Technical Advisor. The Cash Officer will implement activities in a range of locations in Vanuatu. This is a full time position for 12 months.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Relevant University degree.

► Minimum two years experience in a relevant position and broad working experience in Vanuatu.

► Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with a wide range of people.

► Fluency in Bislama as well as an intermediate knowledge of English.

► Good reporting skills and an ability to work proficiently with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Experience in community mobilisation or similar activities; experience in conducting distributions is desired.

► Previous experience in Community Support Organizations or Non-Government Organizations.

► Committed, honest and eager to learn.

► Drivers Licence.
