● Based in Port Vila with travel to the islands
The Organisation
Save the Children Vanuatu is Humanitarian as well as Development focused organization working in since 1985 aiming to achieve fundamental rights of every child through improving protection, education and health initiatives across Vanuatu.
The Position
Save the Children is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitable candidates to lead the implementation of the program development process, with line management supervision from Save the Children’s Program Director and technical supervision from the Education Specialist. The role would involve working closely with a counterpart in the Ministry of Education and imparting Training, as required.
Essential Selection Criteria
► At least 10 years’ relevant experience in education sector planning, project delivery or management
► Strong understanding of the Vanuatu education system, particularly at the national and provincial departmental level
► Strong facilitation skills for participatory consultations
► Degree in Education
► Knowledge of English and Bislama. French desirable.
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Excellent written and oral skills
► Previous experience of working in the Pacific
► Experience working with international NGO's
► Ability to produce high quality written work to tight deadlines
