● Rewarding opportunity to support the management of the UNDP Global Fund Multi-country Integrated Programme on HIV/TB and Malaria in Vanuatu.

● Contract fixed number of days, open to Vanuatu nationals only

● Based in Port Vila with travel to the islands

The Organisation

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as the lead UN development agency, helps implement the Sustainable Development Goals through their work in some 170 countries and territories, including Vanuatu.

The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient implementation of Programme activities in line with approved work plan and budget and signed sub-recipients agreements. They will ensure monitoring of activities implemented by the sub-recipients and represent the Programme at the national level and liaise with relevant stakeholders and technical partners. Furthermore, they will support UNDP strategy to strengthen the technical and management capacity of the national institutions.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social sciences or related field.

► Experience: For Bachelor’s degree holders - minimum 4 years, and for Master’s degree holders – minimum 2 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in design and management of development projects.

► Experience of working with civil society and governmental partners

► Experience of drafting donor reports

► Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages, experience in handling of web based management systems.

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Degree in public health is an asset.

► Experience in health programmes is an advantage
