● Port Vila based with travel to the islands
The Organisation
Air Vanuatu is Vanuatu's national airline and reaches international destinations across Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Fiji. It operates 27 domestic routes, has a growing fleet of aircraft and engages over 440 staff and employees.
The Position
The successful candidate will be a member of an engineering team supporting the maintenance of a growing fleet of aircraft, including: • Boeing NG737-NG series • Airbus A220 series • ATR72-600 series • Cessna 208B Caravan • Twin Otter DHC6-300 The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and interpreting technical information relating to aircraft, and for reading and interpreting engineering diagrams and manuals. They will also be expected to apply well-honed troubleshooting skills to minimize aircraft downtime and maximize reliability. Furthermore they will provide guidance, coaching and leadership for licensed and non-licensed aircraft maintenance engineers.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Have at least five years' experience in aircraft line maintenance and servicing inspection activities
► Hold a current ICAO Type 2 License on a minimum of one (1) of the above listed aircraft
► You have held the above Type ratings, for more than Three (3) years
► Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
► Be able to provide a Police Clearance and Medical Report declaring fit for all duties

► Be proactive and adaptive to changing environments
► Be ready to work in a 24/7 environment
► Have experience working in a developing country
