The Organisation
Port Vila Golf & Country Club has been established since 1974 and has over 180 members. It boasts a beautiful 18 hole challenging course and hosts the Vanuatu Golf Open each year which is sanctioned by the PGA of Australia.
The Position
The PVGCC Club Manager will report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the club. They will lead the business planning, and manage all operational aspects of the club including finance, staff, contractors, sponsors, marketing and sales, and club assets and premises. The hours of work may be flexible but are to include all competition days, annual events, and scheduled public holidays.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Demonstrated understanding of, and experience in the game of golf
► Minimum 5 years’ experience in a club/association administration or management
► Experience in managing (planning, organizing, coordinating) events and activities
► Financial management skills in budgeting, managing and reporting
► Experience in managing staff of diverse cultural backgrounds
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Experience in managing assets
► Experience working with sub-contractors
► Excellent communication skills
► Ability to work weekends and public holidays where required
